Our next podcast is “40 Facts About Lent”. We would like to have it ready by the 1st or 2nd week of Lent. We will need to finalise all video recordings during half term.
Podcast format
- Choose our “Anchors”/ presenters. Script the introductions.
- 40 Facts About Lent videos. In the podcast we will split these into groups of 10 with prayer or interview in between.
- Prayer(s) to be chosen (Walk With Me Booklet)
- Video Interviews: Ask 6 people about “Giving things up for Lent.” Or it may be something that we choose to do during Lent. Remember that what people may chooses to do is private and we should be respectful in our questions
- Hymn: 40 Days And Forty Nights
Preparation for the 15th February
40 Facts About Lent
Last session, we divided into 3 groups:
- 1st row: Facts 1-13
- 2nd row: Facts 14-26
- back row. Facts 27-39
…. and we have one fact left over.
There are 10 extra facts. If you think that one of these is more interesting, you can swap it with one in your list.
The fact list was created with ChatGPT and we need to make these our own by rewriting them
In the next session we will video individuals of the groups, saying the facts. This will be done on a “blue screen” which will be replaced with an image or video.
What to prepare
Each group should look at their facts and rewrite them so they are natural to say on the video. For example
Ashes symbolize both repentance and renewal.
could be rewritten as
The ashes we are given on Ash Wednesday symbolise both repentance and renewal.
- Think about a picture or a video that show each fact.
- These images will edited into the background of our presenters to replace the blue screen.
- Images can be created with ChatGPT, Dola or similar AI. We just have to describe accurately what we want.
- Some can be videos that we make ourselves which is even better. For example the fact about Pancake Tuesday can include a short video of you making a pancake – this one has already been chosen!
- Each fact has to be presented in less than 9 seconds.
Pictures/photos/videos can be sent in by parents
