Drum Kit Lessons homework

Note that these resources are not lessons by themselves but are used in conjunction with the lesson sessions

There are variations in the ways some beats are taught – but all valid learning.

“Learn to play drums in 10 minutes” by Domino Santantonio is a superb presentation – the best. Her hi-hat hits are rock style on the edge of the hi-hat. Our preference for the hi-hat is with the tip of the sticks for a quieter beat for worship drums.

Click Tracks

A metronome app on phone or tablet is ideal for practice. A drummer’s metronome has a high tone for the 1st beat.

These tracks can be used if no metronome is available
