DESCRIPTION:This will be our 1st drum group session. Beginners welcome\, we will be starting with basic drum patterns and it is\, of course\, free. \nWe will be using an international selection of drums as this is what we have available: djembes\, congas\,  talking drum. Also various shakers\, shekere \, “cowbells” and blocks. We will learn to play the different tones that can be made on a hand drum and these are the same for many types of drum. \nPlaying is for fun. We will from time to time be able to use these rhythms in our Mass also. \nDrums and percussion provided but if you have your own then please bring. She believed that every person deserved their share of the fruits of the earth – for wages\, health\, and housing\, and for art and education too. \nHer role in the foundation of the Open University and the expansion of the Arts Council aided Jennie’s fight for bread and roses\, and in doing so\, changed the twentieth century. \nOh yes\, and founder of the NHS Nye Bevan was her husband. But Jennie is no footnote in someone else’s past. \nTell her story and say her name – this is the one\, the only\,  Jennie Lee. \n
